What is GEO System?
GEO System is the expandable polystyrene solution (EPS) in embankment application where light fillings are needed that are meant to reduce the pressures over low load capacity floors because they are unstable, expansive, compressive, marshy, in seismic zones, etc.
Even though in Mexico, the expandable polystyrene is not used with these purposes, this application is not a new technology, it has been used satisfactorily in many parts of the world.
 
Advantages and benefits of its use

Lightness
The density of the GEO System block may vary from 15 to 30 kg/m³thus it can be transported and installed easily en the required area.

High level of the insulation
It prevents the freezing of the roads when temperatures are very low.

Resistance:
In spite of being a light product, it presents high levels of resistance to compression (up to 250 kPa), flexion (up to 570 kPa), cut (up to 260 kPa) and traction (480 kPa).

Impermeability
It presents a very low level of water absorption even in total immersion.

Weather resistance, The EPS is not soluble in water.

Environmentally safe
It does not have CFC’s, HCFC’s, HFC’s, or formaldehydes. It is an inert material and it is highly stable, in addition, it is recyclable.

It does not have any nutrients that rodents or vectors could use as nourishment.
